Infinizie 3: Now

Fashion…Cocktails…Beauty…Goodie Bags…all the elements of the famous Shecky’s Girls Night Out: Dallas on October 29 & 30. I’ve always wanted to go but have never had the time. This year, however, I was able to buy my ticket for 50% off! It was enough of an incentive for me to make time.  Shecky’s has events all over the country.  Here’s a video clip of Girl’s Night Out:

I will definitely be blogging the awesome time I have there; their free goodie bags are legendary enough to warrant their own post later.  But I will also be sharing the awesome fashion and beauty that I score there.  Hopefully, by then my camera will be working by then!

My boyfriend and I saw Zombieland this weekend.  A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.  I love films about zombies, even funny ones like Zombieland.  Despite the mild gore and zombie-slaying, I couldn’t help but notice how cute Emma Stone as “Wichita” looked in her moto-style outfit.  The aesthetic is so befitting for me that I’ve decided to be her for Halloween this year and my boyfriend will be my zombie victim.

The lens motor on my Nikon CoolPix P80 has been acting up and I wanted to take a few test shots to see how bad the damage is.  I decided to dissect my makeup bag and share some of the nifty products that are a part of my beauty routine:

…this must be the theme for today.  First,  a cute pearl + braid necklace; now, the latest additions to my fitness armory.  I purchased pink heavy bag boxing gloves and hand-wraps from Academy. Not only do they help keep me in shape, the gloves are yet another effort to support The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  According to Everlast, part of the retail price will be donated to the cause.  They’re also darn cute which offsets the sweaty-ickyness of exercise.

These images are from Academy’s website where both can be purchased: Hand-wraps ($2.99) and the Gloves ($19.99).  Tomorrow I plan to hit the bag with these, doing my part to fight breast cancer and arm jiggle.

Pearls + Braids = Super Trendy Necklace

I’m a June baby and pearls are my birthstones.  Pearls are so versatile –they can be classically glam or rocker-edgy.  I also love the delicate detail in a simple ruffle or braid element.  As I perused some of my favorite online shops, I came across an all-around great necklace for fall. This is the Banana Republic necklace that I saw which retails for $52:

But there are some great cheaper alternatives available at Forever 21 ($9.80)…

…or at Arden B, though not exactly a braid, there’s a great twisty-pearl necklace ($24).
